I just came home from awesome backpacking trip yesterday. I went to India with 2 of my friends, we werent going to some big cities like Delhi or Mumbai but we went to Chennai instead, a city on the TamilNadu states of India. Ill share more of the stories in the next post, this time im gonna share you one random act i did while i was there. So sit back , relax and enjoy while i embarassed myself in this video.
Still cannot believe i did this silly things. The reason behind it is, when i walked my way across Marina Beach in Chennai , i stumbled into a memorial park built. I stood there , amazed how i could travel this far and manage to set my foot in to the home country of one greatest man this world has ever had, Mohandas Karamchan Gandhi. So i decided to make this moment a little bit more awesome by doing some memorable things which i can always look back later. I took out my tripod , a pocket cam , play Singin in the Rain/Umbrella mashups by Glee on Ipod to get my moods on and just dance through it.
The problem is after i finished recording that, an Indian police officer came over me. Those memorial park with a Ghandi statue in it was situated just beside a main road, hence there are some local people was watching me and laugh at it haha. When the police office came closer, i thought im in a terible situation but luckily, he laughed also.
Indian Police : What were you doing, sir ? (still a bit laughing)
Me: err, im doing a dance around the world project (this is a lame excuse i made on the fly)
Indian Police: where are you from ?
Me : Im from Indonesia
Indian Police: aah, i got a family who worked there. In sumatra
Me: oohh, im from Bandung heheh
Indian Police: Ok sir, enjoy
Thanks to my smooth talking, i could save my silly arse there. Anyway, it was one of the greatest experience i had and its just plain awesome. See you next post and as an encore lets sing this song together! yeaaachh!!
